Article voiceover
This past week, we introduced a new feature, audio narration (voice over) of the weekly unintended consequences article. It is located above the art in the article. Narration is provided by award-winning narrator, Naysan Adlparvar and I hope you enjoy it.
The comment option is open for everyone to share their thoughts about this new feature, the narration or anything you would like to say about it. So even if you are not a paid subscriber, you can comment on the new feature.

Germline gene editing using CRISPR for SCD is a no-brainer. It is one of the thousands of diseases/conditions that is controlled by a single gene mutation. Others conditions are much more complex. We have a golden opportunity to regulate and streamline human gene editing research and clinical treatment in both government and the private sector, if only we possessed the will and foresight to do so. The genie is out of the bottle on gene editing technology, and it is up to us to use this tool wisely to alleviate human and animal suffering.
